Hello again!

November is a somewhat boring and blah month, but this November there are some really great, local bands playing shows, all of which I would be very excited for if I had time for every one. You should be excited, as well. Eeeek! Hope this list is helpful for you, reader, in discovering some sweet, new tunez or revisiting those you are already fond of. Read on!

Faux Furrs

This "psych-infused, dream-pop"—as according to their Facebook page—band is going to be playing a show Nov. 4 at The Owl, 2521 N. Milwaukee Ave, as I mentioned in my last post. The show is from 8 p.m. - 11 p.m. and will be freeeeeee to get in. Who doesn't love a free show. It is at a bar, so I'm guessing it is 21+. The event page can be found here.

Retirement Party

This badass group—that I had the privilege of seeing at Wicker Park Fest this past summer!—is playing alongside Mom Jeans Nov. 8 at Subterranean, 2011 W. North Ave. We love Subt! The show is at 6 p.m., tickets are $15, event is all ages. The event page can be found here.

Lettering

This alt-rock band will be playing a show Nov. 8 at Beat Kitchen, 2100 W. Belmont Ave. Lettering recently released their self-titled, debut album June 29, which is streaming on all music platforms. Show starts at 8 p.m., 17+, $10. Event page can be found here.

Girl K

I saw this lovely group a couple weeks ago at Emporium, and they're back again! "Dog Year Lungs" has been out for over two weeks now—I wrote a post about it here—and Girl K will be playing another show Nov. 9 at Schubas, 3159 N. Southport Ave., alongside Madeline Kenney. The show starts at 10 p.m. and will go until 1 a.m. $10 adv. or $12 at the door, 18+. Here is the Facebook event where you can find all the deets.

Erabella

One of my favorite hardcore groups is opening for Silent Planet 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. at Subt, 2011 W. North Ave., Nov. 13. What! I am so extremely excited for these friends—this is really an amazing opportunity for them. Tickets are $15, 17+ and the event page is hereeeee. Buy your ticket before they are sold out because this is a highly anticipated show.

Beach Bunny

I miss Beach Bunny. They played a super fun "Prom Queen" release show at Subt over the summer, and every day I am alive, I miss it. They are coming back to Chicago for a show Nov. 30 at CtHouse, Elmwood Park, at 7 p.m. until 12 a.m. $5 donation at the door, all ages. Event page can be found here.

Let's have some funnnnnnnnnn next month.
